REASONS TO UPGRADE
  • Comparative grading of referees
    • Uniform standards throughout the US

    • Must maintain physical fitness
    • Higher standard of knowledge required
    • Eligibility for Regional Cup matches
    • Eligibility for Instructor or Assessor Status

REQUIREMENTS FOR UPGRADE
  • Minimum age - 17
  • Experience in outdoor games  (USSF)
    • Referee: 75
    • Assistant Referee or Linesman: 25
  • Time in present grade - 12 months
  • 85% on Referee Entry Level Test
  • One evaluation as referee in U19 or above
  • Pass Physical Fitness test for your age

REQUESTING AN UPGRADE
  • Must meet eligibility requirements
  • Send letter to SRA requesting upgrade
  • Contact SDA for field evaluation
  • Contact SDI or local USSF Instructor to take written and physical fitness test
